In your picture below of the AR15 = SL8, I don't think the pistol grip shown on the AR15 is of a military pattern. You ned a pic of one with a A2 grip.

What is your definition of a " Military Pattern" and where did you come by that?

As far as I'm aware there are only 2 types of grips used on the military issue M16, the original grip withouth the finger swell & the A2 grip. The grip shown is an aftermarket part.

The grip shown in the image qualifys as a "Military Pattern Free Standing Pistol Grip" so although its not the actually the military issue, I dont think that will matter. All credit for your obvious knowlegde though...
